Weekend Trip!!!!

Hey Guys!

So I got a chance to travel with some friends to Clearwater FL for a birthday celebration. It was very relaxing and much needed. Our hotel was right on the beach and everything was pretty much in walking distance.

The highlight of our trip was a suggestion from one of my friends to go to Sylvia's 's for breakfast. I was not familiar with this restaurant or Ms. Sylvia, however I was assured that it was the best southern food anywhere near Clearwater. Boyyyyyyyy were they right! From Clearwater, Sylvia's is about a half hour taking I-275.  The restaurant brand is very well known and has been around for over 51 years, and this location in particular opened its doors in 2013. For those up north, Sylvia's first location is in Harlem, New York and the restaurant is still there.

The four of us went in and it happen to be a brunch buffet, so that's what we did. This was the best soul food that I have ever tasted! The chicken and catfish was seasoned perfectly and very moist, yellow rice, green beans, collard greens and buttermilk biscuits are just a few of the things that was on the menu for that beautiful Sunday afternoon. Oh and I must not forget the amazing homemade peach cobbler! They also had an omelet station and fresh waffles. A quick tip, when you do go try to get in early like we did, before the church crowd arrives.

Now **WARNING** If you are on a diet, avoiding trans fats,  or on a low sodium diet THIS BRUNCH IS NOT FOR YOU :) .But if you can indulge if only one time.
